The Orchard Wellness community is made up of real people at every stage of their fitness journey. Here are three of their stories.

Bootcamp & Small Group PT

Becca

Five years ago, Becca joined Susie's Boot Camp. Back then, exercise was something she made herself do. Now it's something she looks forward to every single day.

"What once felt like a chore has become something I look forward to every single day. My strength, confidence, and determination have grown tremendously. Boot camp offers so much more than just physical training — it provides mental stimulation, motivation, friendship, and the opportunity to connect with an incredible group of people."

Together, we've shared some fun and amazing adventures. There is such a strong sense of community within the group.

But for Becca, the most significant part of her journey has been getting back to running. In her 20s she considered herself a runner — until training without any strength or conditioning work led to ongoing knee problems that eventually forced her to stop completely.

"Fast forward 20 years. Through bootcamp and Small Group PT sessions, Susie's constant encouragement and unwavering belief in me have allowed me to rebuild both my confidence and my ability to run — this time with the body strength to let me progress. What started as a weekly social run through the beautiful local countryside has led me to my latest challenge: an ultra-marathon."

Susie has supported me every step of the way — from daily encouragement to personalised training programmes, advice on nutrition, kit, mindset, and recovery. Absolutely everything is considered and covered. She genuinely cares and goes above and beyond for every single member.

"Susie is a true inspiration — an incredible leader, athlete, and someone I have an enormous amount of respect and gratitude for. I honestly cannot thank her enough for the positive impact she has had on my life."

Bootcamp & Strength

Amy

Before joining Susie's bootcamps, Amy was mainly a runner. But constant knee and hamstring problems had brought her to a point where she was starting to accept that long-distance running might be behind her for good.

"Through joining bootcamp and learning the importance of mixing strength training with running, and Susie's guidance with perfectly suited exercises, my knees have been strengthened so much. I've even signed up for my first ultra marathon this year — something I never thought possible."

I feel stronger in my 40s than I ever have. I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

Along the way, Amy has discovered an unexpected love of boxing and lifting weights — and says she can trace the change entirely back to finding the right environment to train in.

"It's a great experience to train and improve yourself in such a friendly and motivating environment. Before bootcamp I was getting to the point where I thought I'd need to accept I'd never run long distances again. Susie's guidance completely changed that."

Spin

Harmony

For Harmony, spin at Orchard Wellness has become the highlight of her week — the thing she protects in her diary above almost everything else.

"It's high energy from start to finish — just what I need to give my endorphins a boost. Susie keeps the class motivated and knows how to push individuals to be at their best."

Spin at Orchard Wellness is my favourite time of the week. High energy from start to finish.

It's not just the atmosphere that keeps Harmony coming back. She credits the quality of the coaching — Susie's ability to read the room, push when needed, and pull back at the right moment — as what sets these sessions apart from anything she's tried before.

"A strong playlist, clear coaching, and a great mix of climbs, sprints, and recovery intervals. Susie keeps the class motivated and knows how to push individuals to be at their best. The studio is kept clean, tidy and well organised."

Challenging but manageable for all fitness levels. Highly recommend.
