Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply to your membership, class bookings, and use of Orchard Wellness.

Last updated: May 2026. These terms apply to all members, class pack holders, and anyone using Orchard Wellness services. By joining as a member or booking a class, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms. Questions? Get in touch via our website.

1. About us

Orchard Wellness is an independent fitness studio operating at King George V Building, Rudgwick, West Sussex, RH12 3JJ. References to "Orchard Wellness", "we" or "us" in these terms refer to the business operating under that name. You can reach us via our contact page or by phone on 07889 429337.

2. Membership

2.1 Monthly memberships

All memberships are monthly rolling with no minimum term. Membership fees are charged monthly in advance. By starting a membership, you authorise us (or our payment processor, ClassFit) to collect your monthly payment on the agreed date each month.

2.2 Cancellation

You may cancel your membership at any time by giving one calendar month's written notice. Notice should be given by contacting Susie directly via the contact form or by phone on 07889 429337. Your membership will continue until the end of the notice period, during which you retain full access to your plan. No refunds are given for partial months.

2.3 Membership freeze

We may be able to pause your membership in exceptional circumstances (such as medical reasons or extended absence). Please contact us to discuss. Any freeze arrangement must be agreed in writing.

2.4 Price changes

We reserve the right to change membership prices with at least 30 days' written notice. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel in accordance with clause 2.2.

3. Class packs

Class packs are valid for 180 days from the date of purchase. Any unused classes after this period will expire and are non-refundable. Class packs are non-transferable and may only be used by the named purchaser.

If you attend five or more classes per month, a monthly membership is likely to represent better value than a class pack.

4. Class bookings and cancellations

4.1 Booking

Classes must be booked in advance through the ClassFit booking system. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Turning up without a booking is not guaranteed to secure a place.

4.2 Cancelling a class booking

Please cancel your booking as soon as possible if you are unable to attend, so the place can be offered to someone else. Late cancellations or repeated no-shows may result in a late cancellation charge or suspension of booking rights at our discretion.

4.3 Class cancellations by Orchard Wellness

Occasionally we may need to cancel or reschedule a class due to instructor illness, adverse weather, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will notify you as promptly as possible. In the event of cancellation, any class pack credit used will be returned to your account. No further compensation is payable.

5. Free trial

The free trial entitles new members to attend one class at no charge. It is available to first-time visitors only. The free trial does not require any payment details and carries no obligation to join. We reserve the right to withdraw or amend the free trial offer at any time.

6. Health, safety and your responsibility

6.1 Health declaration

By attending classes, you confirm that you are in good health and that you are not aware of any medical condition that would prevent you from participating safely. If you have any health concerns, a recent injury, or a medical condition, you should consult your GP before attending classes and inform your instructor before the session begins.

6.2 Participation at your own risk

Exercise carries inherent risks. You participate in all Orchard Wellness classes and activities at your own risk. It is your responsibility to exercise within your own limits and to inform your instructor of any relevant health information before class.

6.3 Outdoor sessions

Outdoor classes take place at King George V Building, Rudgwick, and on local trails. You are responsible for wearing appropriate clothing and footwear. Sessions may proceed in light rain unless conditions are deemed unsafe by the instructor.

7. Liability

Orchard Wellness takes all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of our classes and facilities. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for:

  • Personal injury arising from participation in classes, unless caused by our negligence
  • Loss, theft or damage to personal property brought to our premises or sessions
  • Any indirect or consequential losses

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Code of conduct

Orchard Wellness is a welcoming and inclusive community. We expect all members and visitors to treat instructors and fellow members with respect. We reserve the right to withdraw membership from any person whose behaviour is deemed disruptive, unsafe, or incompatible with the values of the community, without refund of any remaining membership period.

Please arrive on time for classes. Late arrivals may not be permitted to join once a session has begun.

9. Photography and social media

We occasionally take photographs or short videos during classes for use on our website and social media channels. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let your instructor know before class and we will ensure you are not included. We will never use images of individuals in a way that could be considered disrespectful or embarrassing.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify members of any material changes by email. Your continued use of our services following notification of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
